Hi, I'm Julia!
I am a photographer from Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. After taking a photography class in my junior year of high school on a whim, I fell in love with it. After getting my first camera, I went to every one of my brother's hockey games to take pictures, starting my photography career.
I graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography. While at Endicott, my work was featured in the Endicott Student Invitational twice, in the 2021 show and then again in 2023 where I won first place. In the fall of 2022, I studied abroad in Italy, attending Florence University of the Arts, where my work was featured in Blending, a magazine published by the school, and the Fall 2022 Final Exhibit Between Fact and Fiction. My work has also been featured in the Photographic Resource Center's Spring 2024 student show, Endicott's Senior Thesis & Capstone show, and Emerging Creatives from Endicott College, an international exhibit in Cork, Ireland.
Through Endicott, I was able to do an internship with a photographer specializing in action shots, specifically dance. Having done dance in the past I was able to really connect to this genre of photos and hope to get to continue working in it in the future.
Outside of school, I volunteer to take photos for the Manasquan/Point Beach High School hockey team to take photos for the players and their families as well as the team's social media accounts. I also have volunteered to take photos for the National Organization for Rare Disorders at the Boston Marathon and for the Point Pleasant Beach fire department.
